This week I have mapped out all superfund sites that are on the NPL and that were recently taken off the list.


I've noticed a majority of superfund sites are located on Long Island, which all have a high ranking of over 50.


I guess my only question this week is why does Long Island have more Superfund Sites than say Albany, or Buffalo? What slows down decontamination processes downstate?
